Local buses
Villages in our parish now benefit from two regular bus services that are open to all members of the public:
- The 918 (blue double decker), which runs between Severn Beach and Thornbury (Rock Street and The Castle School) at the start and end of the school day, on weekdays.
- The Y2C (minibus), a pilot service which runs between Yate and Cribbs Causeway 11 times per day, from Monday to Saturday.
You can see more information about them, including their timetables, here.
Buses further afield
You can check out a wide range of bus times on the Traveline South West website.
A local car-sharing scheme
If you are interested in sharing car journeys with other people, either on a regular basis or for a one-off event, have a look at the website for the local car-sharing scheme. This is a well-established initiative, delivered in partnership with four local authorities: Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol City, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Some large employers in our area (hospital trusts, councils, universities, the Mall at Cribbs Causeway etc) already belong to the scheme. But individuals can join too - for free!
You can find out how and where the scheme operates, which employers belong to it, how to register for free as an individual or as the employee of a member organisation and what to bear in mind when you are making travel arrangements.
