Roman Catholic Church of Christ the King, Thornbury

The Catholic Church of Christ the King in Castle Street, Thornbury, has a large Parish, covering all the Thornbury area including Olveston and Aust, and the Berkeley area as well as the two prisons at Eastwood Park and Leyhill. Recently it has become responsible for Wotton-under-Edge parish as well.

Our Parish is served by a religious order, the Salvatorians, and the current parish priest is Father George Malecki.

Thornbury Sunday Masses are at 9am and 10.30am.  Masses are also held in Thornbury at 10am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Each year the parishioners of Christ the King celebrate a mass at St John's Chapelry in Aust on the Feast of St Augustine of Canterbury.

Do visit the Church in Castle Street. It is open daily for quiet prayer and meditation and there is a new prayer garden with a labyrinth open to all.

You can access the Church's own website here.
